The assault resulted in the partial shutdown of the CTA tunnel and the T3 parking area.

An additional two individuals are now in custody related to a theft at Heathrow Airport in which 21 people were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in Lambeth for suspected robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, the force said.

These detentions come after a probe into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the incident, two women were robbed of their luggage upon exiting a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was one of the injured during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.

Police detained a 31-year-old man on suspicion of robbery and assault close to the scene. He has since been released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were called at about 08:10 GMT following reports of a number of people hurt by a noxious substance believed to be an irritant spray.

The assault - an event that police said was isolated and not considered an act of terror - caused train delays and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the T3 parking facility for a short time.
